Your furniture donation means the world to us

Help us to fulfil our mission of bringing communities together by donating your reusable unwanted furniture to Community Transport. Click on the banner to watch our short video about what furniture reuse can do for our local people.

Giving your furniture a new home helps to reduce carbon emissions and landfill waste. You also help to provide communities with good quality, affordable furniture options.

But there is another very meaningful way our donation improves people’s lives…

The CT Passenger transport service has made 94,365 fully wheelchair accessible minibus trips in 2022, adding to the everyday lives of local people by helping them to get out of the house. Furniture items sold in our charity shops in the North East and West Midlands ensures that enough funds are raised to support this work.

“Getting more involved not only helps me but other lonely people. It has encouraged me to get out more and moreover I feel safe.”

After gathering some feedback from our passengers, 95% of respondents said that before they received help, they didn’t leave home as often as they wanted and didn’t feel engaged in the community.

After using our transport service, 97% have said they now feel less isolated, have an improved sense of wellbeing, and can make new friends.

Support our campaign #yourfurnituredonationmeanstheworldtous and help us continue providing our essential services.
