We offer a range of voluntary positions that allow you to give back to the community and gain vital work experience.
Our Volunteer drivers help to drive all Community Transport vehicles legally, safely and responsibly, taking either; groups of passengers, goods or individuals on a demand responsive basis, to and from different destinations. To operate all auxiliary equipment fitted to vehicles such as lifts, ramps, steps, radios, wheelchair harnesses and restraints and cab heaters, the removal and replacement of seating where necessary etc, in a safe and proper manner.
To ensure passengers are embarked, carried and disembarked safely. That appropriate seat belts and when required child seats are used at all times the vehicle is in motion and that any wheelchairs, frames, oxygen cylinders, luggage and goods are properly and safely restrained.
Our Customer Assistants work in our Furniture shops and they are there to ensure our customers have a positive experience. With a range of tasks starting with welcoming customers on arrival, handling enquiries, directing customers to items, agreeing sales, processing transactions and much more!
Customer assistants are there to make sure that everyone who visits on of our stores goes away feeling happy about their visit.
Our Retail Assistants help out in our Furniture Stores. They help to give the customer the best possible experience whilst they are in one of our stores. Our Retail Assistants help to organise and display all of our furniture including taking donations from customers, off-loading furniture from our vehicles, storing and maintaining furniture, assisting customers with purchases, loading furniture into customer vehicles and our vans and delivering furniture to customers.
Passenger Assistants are a vital part of our Passenger Service team. Passenger Assistants accompany passengers on their journeys and make they were safe and comfortable. You would help passengers in and out of vehicles and make sure that any baggage or mobility equipment, like wheelchairs, are safely secured.
Our Passenger Assistants ensure that our customers have a safe and pleasant journey.
Furniture Repair/Upcycle Technicians
Our Furniture Technicians repair and maintain all of our furniture to ensure that when it reaches the customer it is received in working order and is clean and tidy. Our technicians preform basic maintenance cleaning and painting as well as more specific repairs like PAT testing.
Our administrators help with a wide variety of tasks including Finance, HR, answering calls and dealing with customer enquiries.
Our admin teams are based on site and the tasks vary between the three strands of the company. In our furniture stores – administrators are expected to answer phone calls from customers and answer queries relating to sales, respond to and compose emails, write letters, fill out company documents and much more… In our passenger services administrators handle route planning, driver HR, answer phone calls, answer emails and process time sheets.
