Newcastle Community Furniture Service
We are a furniture re-use facility based witihn the East and West of Newcastle.
Our aim is to privide good quality, low cost furniture, electrical goods, general household items and bric-a-brac to families and individuals on low income across the North East.
We sell direct from our warehouses, so why not pay us a visit to view the wide selection available.
Our opening times are:
Monday - Thursday 9am - 4pm
Friday 9am - 3.30pm
Saturday 10am - 2pm
The Environment - We work alongside Newcastle City Council to recycle furniture which would otherwise go to landfill, helping to reduce the carbon footprint of the City. In addition, we make a significant contribution to the national efforts to reduce environmental pollution by collecting and re-using many household items that are prematurely dumped in landfill sites.
Donating - As a registered charity we rely on the generosity of the public in donating furniture for re-use. If you have any good quality household items you would like to donate please contact us and we will arrange a FREE prompt and efficient collection. We ask that all soft furnishings comply with Furniture and Fire (Safety) Regulations 1988. This is usually identified by a label sewn into the suite, bed or upholstered dining chair. Please note, all items must be in good, re-usable condition. Our collection team will assess the items upon arrival and may not accept any deemed to be unsuitable for re-use/recycling.
Volunteering - We have a number of volunteering roles within our organisation, If you are interested in learning more about the opportunities and training available please contact us.
