The year saw the Wolverhampton project make huge steps forward as a Project with firm foundations for the future, based on rapid growth of passenger operations in addition to the furniture service.
In August 2004 we launched Citywide, a 3-year £0.7m UBC Project to provide transport for young people in Wolverhampton to access nursery care and playgroups, education, recreation and vocational training. The scheme operates 364 days a year and 18 hours a day. Our higher profile was rewarded with an excellent official launch at the Molineux in September.
The Pathfinder service for 14-19 year olds to access the flexible curriculum grew to 1,000 passenger trips per week for schools right across the south of the city.
