What is Community Transport?
Community Transport Oldham is part of the national charity Community Transport (registered Charity No 247331). Community Transport operates 12 transport related projects countrywide providing people within communities access to transport services and training. Community Transport Oldham operates several accessible vehicles for use by individuals, voluntary and community groups and not for profit organisations based in Oldham. They also manage the shop mobility scheme Promobility.

Community Transport Oldham Dial-a-ride
The Community Transport Oldham Dial-a-ride service is available for anyone who experiences difficulty using public transport as a result of limited mobility. Available to the residents of Oldham, the service provides door to door accessible transport usually within the borough.
All the minibuses are wheelchair accessible and bookings can be made up to two weeks in advance.
To use Dial-a-rideyou must be a member this costs £6.00 a year (April to March). You will then need to pre-book trips. Fares are based on the distance you wish to travel.
Up to one mile £3.50
More than one mile and less than four miles £5.50
More than four miles £7.50
Family and Carers £1.00
All the above charges include a booking fee

Community Transport Oldham Promobility
Community Transport Oldham Promobility provides manual and electric powered wheelchairs, and 3 & 4 wheeled mobility scooters for hire. This enables any person with limited mobility to access all the facilities in Oldham town centre with ease. The service is open to anyone whether their impaired mobility is temporary or permanent.
If you wish to join Promobility you will first be asked to fill in a short registration form. Please bring along two forms of I.D displaying your name and address, one with a photograph if possible. For your membership card, please bring a passport sized photograph.
A member of our friendly staff will show you how to use the wheelchair or scooter if required.
Long-term wheelchair hire is also available
Promobility is open Mon, Weds, Thurs, Fri between 9.30am - 4.30pm.
Saturdays between 9.30am - 1.30pm.
Annual membership is £6.00 (April to March) with a usage fee of £2.50 per session.

If you would like to become a member of Dial a Ride and Promobility, joint membership is available at a discounted rate of £9 a year
Community Transport Oldham - Group Travel.
16 seater wheelchair accessible minibuses are available for use by 'not for profit' organisations in Oldham. A registration form needs completing prior to use of the service.
You may hire a driver or supply your own driver who needs to be MiDAS trained. MiDAS driver training is available on request.
Prices depend on type of driver, length of hire and distance traveled plus a daily rate:
Daily Rate applies to a trip that starts and finishes in the same calendar day.
Weekend Rate applies to a trip that starts after 17.00 hours on Friday evening and finishes before midnight on Sunday.
Weekday Evening Rate applies to a trip that starts after 17.00 hours and finishes on
the same day.
