Highlights of the last year
The East End Furniture Project is the only project that runs entirely on income generated through furniture sales and storage - social enterprise in action.
The success of the 2 projects is based largely on the contributions made by volunteers and New Deal trainees. We have an excellent reputation with training providers and Job Centre Plus who all know that time at the "Community Furniture Service" is an investment in new skills and work experience.

In late 2004 came the long awaited news that we had secured NRF grant aid funding for 2 minibuses for passenger services in the East End of the city - after a break of over 10 years. This comes on top of rapid developments at the Charity's 2 Projects in the city. The name of Community Transport Newcastle is firmly on the map.
