Dudley's rapid growth since 2002 has continued with 5 new replacement vehicles bought through £180,000 in LTP capital funding. This also secured a new computer network and integrated telephone system.

It was a year of transition on funding, adjusting successfully to the loss of over £100,000 in UBC and other revenue funding. At year end, a comprehensive business plan was nearing completion to position the Project for future investment and growth.

Staffing had to be re-structured in January 2005, but without redundancies or loss of service. The Quick Wins programme research programme continued with the recruitment of a new R&D officer to develop services funded through NRF in the priority neighbourhoods, including the first ever User Forum.

Among other changes were:
• A new charging structure and affiliation system
• A fresh approach to volunteer recruitment and development
• Partnership working with Dudley CVS and other bodies

The Project also took over the Charity's first Volunteer Car Scheme from Dudley, completing the process of transfer started a year earlier.
