Welcome

to Community Transport

Buying or commissioning services from us..

As a national social enterprise, we’re keen to work with partners to deliver services that:

  • are good value
  • transform users’ experience of public services
  • help us to maintain and develop core services

We aim to innovate and adapt to what is needed. Please contact our National Service Managers or local branches to discuss how we can work together to develop new and exciting services for your community.

Here are some examples of the successful services we have provided:

Home to school transport for children with Special Educational Needs

We operate 35 minibus routes for 7 metropolitan authorities. These are won by competitive tender and we pride ourselves on the quality of vehicles, the professionalism of our drivers, and the delivery of reliable and punctual services.

Service 649 in Kings Heath Birmingham

In December 2010 in partnership with Centro we launched this new service for the general public, operated under Section 22 Community Bus legislation. The service runs on a scheduled route 6 days a week from Brandwood Park into the Kings Heath shopping centre - and numbers have more than doubled in just 4 months . .

Transport for Pupil Referral Units (PRUs)

Our service for Sandwell MBC has transformed the way the PRUs work, as we handle all regular and ad hoc transport requirements for children recovering from illness, teenage mothers and children with challenging behaviour.

Social care and health

We run a wide range of contracts, transporting people to regular day care, to therapeutic and social activities, to primary and secondary healthcare appointments and shopping facilities.

Furniture contracts

We are able to supply starter packs of furniture for new tenants of housing associations. We also have contracts for storage in Newcastle.

Training contracts

We are a national provider of driver training (MiDAS, PATS, PCV etc.) and are developing the capacity to deliver a range of NVQs to meet the new skills agenda and the challenges of the recession.
