Key Achievements and Statistics
In 2008/09 we:
- Made nearly 14,000 separate supplies of furniture and took 1,500 tons of material out of the waste stream.
- Provided over half a million passenger trips
- Launched a major 5-year training initiative for the West Midlands, funded through the Big Lottery’s BASIS fund.
In the last 5 years we have:
- Trebled our our minibus fleet
- More than doubled our outputs
- Modernised and diversified our service delivery
- Decreased our dependency on traditional grant aid from 50% to less than 25%
- Established sustainable services
- Introduced demand responsive transport services and voluntary car schemes
- Increased the level of public service contracts
- Grown our furniture services with new shops
- Adopted fresh approaches to marketing and development
- Pioneered new forms of education transport services
